The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (MCIT) of Azerbaijan invested 62715,7 million AZM ($13,69 million) for the 8 months of the current year.
The funds were mostly allocated for reconstruction of the communication objects, construction of new telephone lines, both at the capital city’s outskirts and in the regions of Azerbaijan, MCIT told Trend.
As for the means invested during this period in other enterprises under the Ministry, MCIT stressed, for the Aztelecom Production Union (PU) this index is 31833,6 million AZM ($6,949 million), the Baki Telefon Rabitasi (Baku Telephone Communication) PU is 23284,4 million AZM ($5,0828 million), the Teleradio PU is 1 billion 765,4 million AZM (about $386,000), Azerpocta (Azerpost) state enterprise is 3, 297 million AZM (about $709,000).
It should be noted, MCIT projects to invest in the Azerbaijan’s telecommunications sphere 96,5 billion AZM ($20,32 million) for the entire current year, to render services to the population and organizations in the communications sphere in the amount of 670,1 billion AZM ($141,130 million) and transfer 100 billion AZM ($21,057 million) to the state budget.
