From 14 to 18 November URAL(EX-NOVO) average price, sold by Azerbaijan in Novorossiysk port, was $48.50 per barrel or dropped $1.22 barrel, or 2.5%, as compared to the last week (7-11 Nov).
URAL(EX-NOVO) maximal price comprised $49.69 on 15 November, or $1.59 barrels down as compared to last week (15 November), minimal one - $47.49 on 18 November, or $0.59 down as compared to last week (11 November). Brent average price (DTD) was $53.62 per barrel (dropped $2.60 per barrel), or 4.7% down as compared to last week. Brent maximal price comprised $54.28 on 15 November, or $3.69 per barrel down as compared to last week. Minimal price of Brent was $52.60 on 18 November, or $1.64 per barrel as compared to last week (11 November). URAL (EX-NOVO) was cheaper than Brent by $5.12 per barrel last week, or $1.38 per barrel more than the average figure of last week. The density of oil URAL is 32 degrees by API, sulphur content - 1.3%. The density of oil DTD is 38.3 degrees by API, sulphur content - 0.36%. The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) has made an order to the Russian Transneft Company on the transportation of 1.2 million tons of oil through the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in the first quarter of 2005, a source at the international oil market told Trend. “The AIOC is supposed to pump 400,000 tons of Urals oil a month via the ‘northern route’. The oil volume also includes oil belonging to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR),” the same source said. In general, in 2006 the SOCAR intends to export 2.5 million tons of oil, extracted from its fields. Along with the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline the oil volumes will also be pumped via the BAku-Tbilis-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline. In January to October 2005 the SOCAR shipped 2,337 million tons of Urals oil Novorossiysk, against 1.12 million in 2004. In October 78,640 tons of Ural oil was shipped from Novorossiysk, or 0,237 tons down as compared to June 2005 and 2649,200 tons in 2004. In 2004 the SOCAR sold 2559,100 tons of oil from Novorossiyk, which is 77,100 tons more than 2003. Oil pumping tariffs via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline is $15.67 per ton. Trend
