41.5 million tons or cargo amounting to 36% of all cargo traffic realized in the transport sector of the country were transported through the Azerbaijani part of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia transport corridor in January-November of the past year.

As APA reports refering to the State Statistical Committee, volume of transported cargo increased by 12.5% as against the respective period of the previous year. 53.4% of cargo was transported by railway, 27.7% by motor transport and 18.9% by sea transport.

AZM 195 million or 12.2% more income was derived from cargo and passenger traffic in the reporting year and its volume increased by 21.6% in railway transport, 1.8% in sea transport and 1.6% in motor transport.
