Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri will pay an official visit to Egypt Jan.19. Gilauri will meet with senior Egyptian officials during his three-day visit.

Cairo is expected to host a Georgian-Egyptian Economic Commission meeting.

The sides will discuss options to bring Egyptian investment to Georgia, and the importance of cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries. The parties will also focus on prospects for cooperation in the fields of tourism, agriculture and investment.

Also, an agreement on free trade and the "avoidance of double taxation" is to be reached.
