Georgia's healthcare minister has warned doctors.

Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Kvitashvili held press conference in Healthcare and Social Protection Ministry.

He made statement regarding process of issuing insurance vouchers.

The minister says that personnel of social service agency have already started to issue insurance policies to the people beyond poverty.

Facts of deals between the insurance companies and doctors have been detected.

Kvitashvili did not state concrete facts.

The minister warned clinics, ambulatory and village doctors that if such cases repeat and doctors are noticed in any deal with the insurance companies, stringent measures will be taken against them.

Kvitashvili state that doctors must not tell owner of the insurance policy what company to address as it is upon them to choose the company to sign agreement with.

Up to 53,500 families and more than 173,000 people will receive insurance vouchers for the indigent.
