Turkey's president continued to hold talks in India on Thursday.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul, accompanied by State Minister Mehmet Aydin, Health Minister Recep Akdag and Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, attended the opening ceremony of the Turkish consulate general in the Indian city of Mumbai.
During the ceremony, Turkish ambassador in New Delhi Levent Bilman and Turkish consul general in Mumbai Murat Ahmet Yoruk informed Gul on their activities.
Following the ceremony, Gul attended the opening of the morning session of the Mumbai Stock Exchange.
Speaking prior to the session, Gul said he was happy to visit the oldest stock market in Asia.
He pointed to the dynamism of the Indian economy and said that the country grew by 9 percent in recent years.
After his speech, Gul banged the gong and opened the session.
