According to the results of the first stage of land reforms, 869,268 of 873,618 families having the right to obtain a land plot or 3,420,778 individuals were given land.
APA was informed from the State Land and Cartography Committee (SLCC) that 23,766 purchase and sale and 8,312 rent bargains have been registered on the land market by November 1, 2005. In general, 4,913,639 hectares (56,9 %) of 8,641,506 hectares of land forming the single land fund of the country have been designated as a state property, 2,032,744 hectares (23,5 %) were given to the ownership of municipalities and 1,695,123 hectares (19,6 %) were stated as a special property.
