Province Prosecutor Burhan Chobanoglu said that, a pistol was found on a certain O.A suspect. The crime is speculated to be committed by this pistol: "The suspect gives testimony now. He will be convicted with the laws for minors. I don't want to release no other details about the happening. Everything will become clear in the investigation." 15-18-year old five more teenagers were also detained: "The crime was committed individually; there is no link to any organizations. These children might also show solidarity for Mammad Ali Agja who is thought to be a hero by having tried to kill Rome Pope John Paul II." The investigation is underway on the suspects. Law enforcement bodies are also investigating the relative of the priest Loredana Palmier and two women. These suspects will be confronted with Azerbaijani Tarana Atayeva and Georgian Gariya Guliyeva who are allegedly said to have argued with Andrea Santoro a day before the crime. The dead body of the priest will be sent to his country by a military plane given on initiative of Foreign Minister Abdulla Gul.
