The Azerbaijan national kickboxing team spearheaded by five-fold world champion Ehram Mejidov ranked second in the overall medal table at the 17th WAKO Cup in Hungary.
Hungary finished first while Belarus third.
Azeri senior kickboxers won four gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Junior athletes brought home 18 medals including nine gold, four silver and five bronze medals.
Azerbaijani kickboxer Fuad Zeynalov has become a winner in the light contact discipline for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani sport.
Senior boxer Eduard Mammadov gained a gold medal in the low-kick, Elshad Alaskarov in K-1 and Azer Aslanov in kick-light.
