The bodies of several Azerbaijanis killed in an explosion in a central market in Vladikavkaz this week were buried in a local cemetery on Sept. 10. The blast killed 1.5-year-old Elnur Ashinov and his grandmother Yasemen Mammadov, Vladikavkaz City Administration Press Secretary Diana Salieva told Trend.
According to Salieva, two more Azerbaijanis - Elvira Ashinova and her son Rashad - were hospitalized in Moscow. Another Azerbaijani was killed in the blast. Although his last name was reportedly "Aliyev", he has not yet been fully identified, she said.
According to the Russian Health Ministry, 17 people died in the explosion. A total of 107 people were also hospitalized. Three are in critical condition. A blast at the entrance to the market was heard at 11:15 a.m. Moscow time two days ago. A suicide bomber blew himself up in a car filled with 30-40 kilograms of TNT.
