Eurovision 2012 information centre opens in Baku

An information section of the production association Baku Telephone Communications has launched a special activity centre which will respond to all tourist requests during the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, head of the department Ahliman Ismailov told press.

"All the necessary background information about the infrastructure of the city including the cultural centres, transport, hotels, etc. will be provided in English," Ismailov said. Today, the centre has already received inquiries related mainly to the sale of tickets for Eurovision Song Contest.

"A large number of requests are expected during the contest, but it will be possible to get answers to all these queries" Ismayilov said. "The activities of the centre will stop at the end of the Eurovision song contest."

The song contest will end on May 26 and the work of the centre will cease on May 31, Ismayilov said. Subscribers of Baku Telephone Communications will be able to participate in the SMS-voting during Eurovision - 2012, PA earlier said. In this regard preparatory work has already begun.

To use the service, the subscriber must dial 107, request sending an SMS and then read a message and phone number to send a message. The received message is sent to the addressee by 107 operators.
