Sabina Babayeva, Azerbaijani participant at Eurovision Song Contest 2012, joined seven other performers at this year’s London Eurovision Preview party, which took place in Soho on the night of April 29th.
Sabina told the crowd that "Baku is waiting" for them in just a few weeks, and that "everyone is welcome" to Azerbaijan. She gave another stunning performance of her entry song- ballad When the Music Dies, which was enjoyed by the 300-strong sell-out audience and many Azerbaijanis living in London who came to support Sabina. Azerbaijani beauty was overwhelmed by public welcoming her and even sang a bit from, already legendary, songs by the UK’s Engelbert Humperdinck - Quando, Quando – a-capella!
During the day, Sabina finally has got a chance to fulfill her long-awaited dream - to see the most beautiful and famous parts of London - the Big Ban, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus. "I was dreaming about the day when I visit London and see all of this beauty in my own eyes", - said Sabina afterwards.
Azerbaijani singer also gave many interviews to international, national and fan media. She spoke to the UK’s national broadcaster, the BBC, as well as Channel 4 and CNN International as well as BBC Azerbaijan, Daily Mail on Sunday, Esckaz, wiwiblogs.com, Universal Music who all attended the event. The journalists were not only interested in her song, but how Baku is preparing to organize a spectacular show in May.
This was the 5th preview party held in London, and was a continuation of Sabina’s promotional tour which last weekend took her to Amsterdam. Next stop on Sabina’s way is Malta!
