"Azernergy" reminds that it can find alternative electricity distributors if Russia insists on higher electricity rates

The vice-president of the "Azerenergy" Open Joint-Stock Company Marlen Asgarov aknowledged yesterday that if Russia insists on rising electric energy in price then Azerbaijani side will undertake alternative variants.

Asgarov saying that "Azerenergy" is thinking of several alternative variants at present did not announce these variants. He noted that talks with Russia will be started soon: "Official Baku is not interested in purchasing electric energy at the recently offered price. We will try to keep the prices in the previous level during the talks. If it is impossible, we will have to decrease the volume of electric energy we purchase from Russia".
