Azeri oil market: results of week

URAL(EX-NOVO) maximal price comprised $56.39 on 12 January, or $1.80 a barrel more as compared to last week (6 January), minimal one - $54.57 on 10 January, or $5.96 down as compared to last week (2 January), Trend reports.

Brent average price (DTD) was $61.96 per barrel (rose $1.03 per barrel). Brent maximal price comprised $62.97 on 12 January, or $0.34 per barrel up as compared to last week. Minimal price of Brent was $60.77 on 11 January, or $3.75 per barrel as compared to last week (2 January).

URAL (EX-NOVO) was cheaper than Brent by $6.66 per barrel last week, or $1.40 per barrel more than the average figure of last week (2-6 January).

The density of oil URAL is 32 degrees by API, sulphur content - 1.3%. The density of oil DTD is 38.3 degrees by API, sulphur content - 0.36%. The density of URAL is 32 degrees by API, the sulphur content – 1.3%. The density of DTD oil is 38.3 degrees by API, the sulfur content – 0.36%.

In the first half-year of 2006 Azerbaijan plans to pump 2.4 million tons of Ural oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline (northern route), the reliable sources told Trend. The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) has given a preliminary order to Transneft Joint Stock Company on the transportation of 1.2 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk route in the second quarter of 2006.

In 2006 Azerbaijan will be able to pump 3.9 million tons of oil via the ‘northern route’. In the second half-year the transportation via the Baku-Novorossisyk route can be reached to 1.5 million tons, or 250,000 tons per month against 400,000 tons a month in the first half-year.
