The United States supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg stated at the Tbilisi International Airport, leaving Georgia.
According to him, Georgia is an important and close partner of the U.S.
He noted that the United States fulfilled its promise over the allocation of tranche worth $1 billion to the country.
He also spoke about meeting with the Georgian President and noted that there were considered political and economic issues.
"It was a successful visit for me," he said. "It is my second visit to Georgia at this position and I want to thank Georgia for its contribution, which it makes participating in operations in Afghanistan."
