Natives of Azerbaijan detained in Russia for drug sale

Officers of the Sakhalin Oblast branch of the Russian Federal Service for Drug Control have detained two citizens of Azerbaijan for acquisition, illegal possession and sale of drugs from poppy seeds.

A senior expert at the agency Olesia Panasyuk told RIA Novosti that they received information that natives of Azerbaijan who live in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and are engaged in drugs sales.  

As a result, the drug police detained suspects in "Toyota Chaser” car. The search in the car found 33 transparent plastic packages with the poppy straw, which were disguised as a food poppy. The total weight of straw was about 500 grams. A probe has been launched.
