Azeri FM meets Kuwaiti Deputy Information Minister

Elmar Mammadyarov advised the Embassy of Kuwait will be opened soon in Baku that, according to him, will give a new impetus to development of Azerbaijan-Kuwait relations.

Azerbaijani Minister added that he will discuss various aspects of bilateral relations with his Kuwaiti counterpart during the conference of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) member states due to be held in Baku May 19-21.

He said Kuwait had always supported Azerbaijan in international organizations, and expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Al-Sabah for his county’s endorsing Azerbaijan’s membership of the UN Human Rights Council.

Sheikh Faisal Khalifa Al-Malik Al-Sabah, for his part, stressed the need for coordination of activities to propagate a more moderate and truer sense of Islam and improve its image in the world.

The sides also discussed other topics of mutual interest, AzerTAg reports.
