Head of State Customs Service: "Armenia's occupation of a part of Azerbaijani lands promotes smuggle of illegal production"

"Drugs are smuggled via the uncontrolled lands of Azerbaijan. Moreover, cultural and historical values, including Karabakh carpets, which are also exported from the country, are terminated in the occupied lands", he told reporters Tuesday.

He noted that last year Azerbaijani customs officers held a special operation to avert the attempts of exporting antique values to Russia.

"It is our duty to ensure protection of such valuables", said Aliyev.
