Presidential candidate Qudrat Hasanquliyev files claim against Central Election Commission

Qudrat Hasanquliyev, presidential candidate from the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, has filed a claim to the Appellate Court against the Central Election Commission, said plenipotentiary representative of the presidential candidate and deputy chairman of the United Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan Elchin Mirzabeyli.

He said the appeal is filed because the candidate was not allocated funds for holding the agitation campaign.

"The Central Election Commission has rudely violated the law and without holding any session it distributed funds among the candidates. By such actions it failed to create equal conditions for candidates. We are going to continue the court trials against the Central Election Commission", noted he.

As for the process of agitation campaign, Mirzabeyli said they have not faced any special obstacles in holding it so far.
