Russia is interested in attaining a consensus between the parties of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict", said deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan.

"Russia has repeatedly voiced its position on the settlement and this is not a political game. It is interested in the consensus between the parties, for it has serious interests connected with Armenia and serious interests, connected with Azerbaijan, as a producer of energy sources and a country, transiting energy sources", said Kocharyan in his interview to Voice of Armenia newspaper, released Thursday.
At the same time, he considers that the unsettled Karabakh conflict is not the only sphere which defines the interdependence of Azerbaijan and Russia and there are numerous other spheres of contact.
