Dmitri Medvedev calls President of Azerbaijan

President of Russia Dmitri Medvedev congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the overwhelming victory in the presidential elections and wished him further achievements in his activity, reports Day.Az with reference to the official website of the President of Russia.

The heads of the states stressed mutual striving for further development of comprehensive Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation on a stable basis, the high level of interaction in the political, trade and economic, humanitarian spheres and stressed importance of continuation of constructive and fruitful contracts on a high level.

The conversation was held by initiative of the Russian side.
