And since home is where we all return after a hard day at work, every home should be as inviting, comfortable and pleasing as possible. Furniture design and decor are therefore absolutely key to a harmonious home. Whether wallpaper, furniture, light sources, curtains and others decorative ornaments should be selected with utmost care, so how does one go about creating a beautiful home? All rooms should be carefully designed and arranged as a to enhance one's life. Living room Because a living room is the main most important room of the house, it is very important to make as inviting and warm as possible. Rather than make the room heavy with furniture and ornaments it is usually preferable to minimize clutter and instead chose beautiful pieces of furniture. When furnishing your living room think space and functionality. After all family members and friends are bound to visit and therefore comfort and flexibility are key. Personal taste should be expressed through a careful choice of wall covering. This room should be bright and cheery. Colors can energize or relax the space, depending on how intense they are and how warm or cool they are. What is a house without accessories? Accessories are crucial when making a home as they will reflect one's personality and taste. A few tips: Candles can be used as inexpensive and useful ornaments. Highly underrated candles are making a strong comeback as they are versatile. They create romance and help towards relaxation. No matter where you decide to use candles, they’ll create a warmer, more welcoming environment not only for guests but for yourself as well! Fireplace, symbolizing hearth and home, can be used to create a focal point in your living room, featuring a chic look. For additional comfort in cold winter days keep blankets, throws, and quilts at hands. A colorful light installation can instantly brighten up any space. So, lighting should be careful done.Table lamps focusing the light down will encourage people to sit down and relax. A light tan carpet underfoot warms the space and keeps cool tones in balance. Another option for comfortable living room is books, which create intimate, quiet retreats; places to relax, and rejuvenate your home. Bedroom The bedroom is the most intimate room of the home. It is where we rest and relax. Regardless of the size and shape of your bedroom -- small or large, light or dark -- it must be cozy and comfortable. Its aura should be quiet, relaxing and stress free. Sound sleep is the main priority for this room, as at this time we freed from fatigue, replenishes and store our energy. And since we all spend an average of eight hours a day in the bedroom, such room needs to be carefully decorate as to promote happy thoughts. Again, colors, lighting and fabrics are important in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Huseyn Gafarov, a designer, explained that choosing the right color for your bedroom is very important. “The optimal colors for bedroom are considered shades of bright colors, including white, baked milk and linen,” he said. The designer added that pure white color paint on walls is not recommended, as it is associated with corridors in hospitals. However, white ceilings are very appropriate. “A bedroom in blue shades will promote a feeling of freshness and heavenly space. Green shades are associated with spring freshness and vitality. Green color in design can help to relax. We however still recommend to apply additional and somewhat warm colors,” he said. The use of red shades in the bedroom are not desirable the designer noted. “It is not easy to wake up in a room colored with red shades, as such colors tend to have a negative effect on the psyche.” Romantic touches -- candles and so on are most useful. Light them on a side table or beautiful sconces to create a warm, nightly glow. They add a bit of whimsy and old-age appeal even to the most contemporary and modern rooms. Kitchen Now, the kitchen. For many people the kitchen is not just a place where they cook, it is also a place where family and friends get together to share a meal, a coffee or a cup of tea. Psychologists have often recommended using strong colors such as red and orange, as they said they promote good eating habits. But nothing will fall into place without some touches of white color here and there as white symbolizes cleanliness and freshness. Dark grey and black colors for the kitchen are not recommended, as they usually suppress people’s appetite. If you have a large kitchen, make sure to fill it with a seating booth just off the kitchen to enjoy a quiet and relaxing moment while enjoying a bite to eat.
