A closed presentation of a new banknote with a face value of 200 manats was held in Baku, a source in the Azerbaijani financial market told Trend.

The source has not specified when a new banknote is planned to be put into circulation.

However, earlier the Central Bank has already spoken about the plans to issue such a banknote.

According to the source, the presentation was held in the building of the Central Bank.

Presently, banknotes with a face value of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 manats are in circulation in the country.
