04 December 2006 [20:31] - Today.Az
Azerbaijan can provide itself with natural gas, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov told journalists after a meeting with his Azeri counterpart.
However, he pointed out that this did not eliminate the possibility of cooperation in this sphere. He explained that both sides were considering cooperation on the markets of other countries, as well as using Azerbaijan's underground storage facilities. Russian company Gazprom will deliver 4.5bn cubic meters of gas at $110 per thousand cubic meters in 2006. Negotiations on 2007 deliveries have not yet been completed. RBC
