Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) produced a total of 8,227,000 tons of oil from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field during the first quarter of the year, 76.6% higher than the same period last year.
Chirag field produced 1,768,000 tons of oil and Azeri 6,459,000 tons during this period. Meanwhile, the State Oil Company (SOCAR) produced 2.19mln tons of oil, down 1.1% from the same period last year.
Azerbaijan produced a total of 32.252mln metric tons of oil during 2006, of which 23.259mln tons were extracted by the AIOC and 8.967m tons by the SOCAR. APA-Economics
