More than 3,000 government, worker and employer leaders are to meet from 30 May to 15 June for the annual Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva to discuss issues ranging from decent work and development to child labour in agriculture, work in the fishing sector, equality at work, forced labour and the promotion of sustainable enterprises.
Alakbar Mammadov, President of Azerbaijan National Confederation of Employers, will lead a 16 member delegation to Geneva to attend the 96th session. Mr. Mammadov will deliver a keynote speech on "employer's role in elimination of discrimination at work." The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the tripartite UN agency which brings together governments, employers and workers of its member states in common action to promote decent work throughout the world.
