The presentation of the first volume of “Encyclopedia of Azerbaijani Carpet” has been held in Baku. The book was published as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Azerbaijani Carpet Museum and Japan Tobacco International. Author of the book is Roya Tagiyeva, Director of the Azerbaijani Carpet and Applied Arts Museum named after Latif Karimov.

Speaking at the presentation event, head of the department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Fikret Babayev stressed that famous Azerbaijani carpets are included in the UNESCO list of intangible world heritage. Other speakers at the ceremony included MPs Elman Nasirov, Adil Aliyev and Jale Aliyeva.
