Dance troupe led by Azerbaijan People`s Artist Yusif Gasimov of the Baku Choreographic School gave concerts in Slovenia yesterday. The concerts dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan`s state independence were held in Danila Kumar Elementary School in Ljubljana and Nova Gorica Grammar School.
Yusif Gasimov and charge d`affaires in Slovenia Emil Hasanov provided information on Azerbaijan`s history, culture and folklore.Azeri delegation also visited memory museum of Azerbaijani legendary guerilla, Hero of the Soviet Union, Mehdi Huseynzade in Nova Gorica.
The concerts were organized with support of Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry, Azerbaijan Embassy in Slovenia, the Slovenian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society and Nova Gorica City Hall.
