09 August 2011 [11:30] - Today.Az
A Nottingham pair are expected to enter record books after changing their names in honor of their favorite superheroes.
Friends Kelvin Borbidge, 22, and 23-year-old Daniel Knox-Hewson drew inspiration from their mutual love of science fiction, comic books and gaming to come up with their new monikers, which are thought to be the longest in the world.
Borbidge will now be known as Baron Venom Balrog Sabretooth Vader Megatron Vegeta Robotnik Magneto Bison Sephiroth Lex Luthor Skeletor Joker Grind.
Knox-Hewson, however, plumped for the equally inventive Emperor Spiderman Gandalf Wolverine Skywalker Optimus Prime Goku Sonic Xavier Ryu Cloud Superman HeMan Batman Thrash.
"We decided to change our names because we were bored of our day-to-day lives and wanted to do something that reflected our true personalities," Emperor Thrash explained.
Baron Grind added: "The look on my area manager's face when he asked why my till now said 'Baron' was priceless.
"At this moment in time, I am looking forward to changing my name on my bank card. I wonder how they will fit it all on?"
The pair spent just £10 each to acquire their new names through the Legal Deed Poll service, Sky News reports.
George Garratt formerly held the record for the UK's longest name, choosing in 2008 to become known as Captain Fantastic Faster Than Superman Spiderman Batman Wolverine Hulk And The Flash Combined.
