Professional thrill seeker, Jeb Corliss flies from the peak of China's Tianmen Mountain wearing a special jumpsuit fitted with wings.

The 5,000 foot jump was part of a rehearsal before his latest challenge to fly through a cave in a Chinese mountain.

The 35-year-old American took time to carefully check his gear before putting on the winged jumpsuit and helmet and leaping from the peak of Tianmen Mountain in Hunan Province.

Corliss said, "the weather is a pivotal factor for the success of the stunt," and that the conditions on the ground were good with low winds.

After soaring from the mountain and across surrounding valleys, Corliss performed a near-perfect landing on a mountain road with just a few small tears in his suit.

The stuntman has previously jumped from the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Space Needle in Seattle and the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia.
