The Azerbaijan Defense Minister, Safar Abiyev will pay an official visit to Iran soon, Trend was reported from diplomatic sources.
The purpose of the visit is discussion of military-technical cooperation prospects with Iran. During the visit to be held at the invitation of the Iranian Defense Minister, Ali Shamkhani, the sides will consider prospects for cooperation in staff training, experience and information exchange on modern military technologies and etc.
During the visit the Defense Ministers of both countries will continue the dialogue on political situation in the region, discuss the current world situation, exchange opinions on peaceful settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
