The next round of Azerbaijani-Iranian talks on the Caspian Sea status took place on 13 July in Baku.
The talks have been held between special envoys of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran on the Caspian status, deputy Foreign Minister (FM) Khalaf Khalafov and Mehti Safari, head of the Azerbaijan FM department, Tahir Tagizade told Trend.
According to Tagizade, “the next steps on rapprochment of both countries’ positions have been discussed” at the meeting. Moreover, Khalafov and Safari discussed also a wide range of issues on bilateral cooperation and intensification of relations”.
The Iranian President’s special envoy is expected to be received by the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov.
