In reply Azerbaijan’s proximity with Northern Cyprus, Greece set up relationships with the self-proclaimed republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The newspaper reports that one more Greek company specialized in telecommunications Intrakom signed an agreement on cooperation with Armenian mobile operator Vivacell, active in Nagorno Karabakh. The agreement envisages 22.8m euro in investment by Intrakom in the further development of Vivacell.
The same time the Greek company plans to open two offices in Yerevan and occupied territory of Azerbaijan. Yerevan Office of Intrakom will function by September, whereas opening of an office in Nagorno-Karabkah is scheduled for October 2005.
Sokratis Kokalis, a Greek entrepreneur owning Intrakom, refused to make any commentary in this respect.
The Greek embassy in Baku refused to give any commentary in this respect.
