15 observation groups work on the territory of Azerbaijan sending reports every day. The information acquired will be included in the final third report.

Two days ago representatives of an international mission of OSCE/Office for Democracy and Human Rights in Azerbaijan (ODIHR) were turned away by police while trying to access Heydar Aliyev airport to observe arrival of Rasul Guliev, an exiled leader of the Democratic Party. 

The head of the mission – Heide Smith announced today that this unpleasant fact will be also included in the third final report of the mission on the pre-election situation in Azerbaijan that ought to come out in the nearest two weeks.

At the same time Smith noted that up to date there are 15 observation groups functioning on the territory of Azerbaijan. Every day members of observation groups send information on pre-election situation in the country to the Central Bureau of the mission in Baku.
