The delegation was led by a former Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan, counselor of Foreign Minister Ahad Gazai. Holding a press conference together with Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Afshar Suleymani he expressed opinion on the polling.

A.Suleymani said tha members of the observation group visited more than 180 stations:"The parliamentary elections were conducted transparently and democratically in Azerbaijan. The President’s decrees were implemented. Our observers were informed about only slight illegalities".
