The office of the special representative of Council of Europe Secretary General in Baku announced that the goal of the seminar to be held by the CE is to familiarize with the situation on fulfillment of the Convention on Protection of Rights of National Minorities that Azerbaijan joined in 2000.

It must be noted that, Azerbaijan sent a report to the CE on the Convention in 2002 and the organization expressed opinion on the report in 2003.
