Baku Mayor Office responded positively to the appeal of "Azadliq" bloc and allowed to hold a rally, nevertheless changing its place, date and time. Opposition already decided to postpone the rally because it is not satisfied with the offer.
According to Zaur Ramazanov, head of department for public organizations and political parties of the Mayor’s Office, the opposition was allowed to hold the rally on the stadium of Voluntary Military Patriotism and Technical Sports Society (Motodrom) in Bilajari settlement from 15.00 till 17.00 on December 11. The executive power of Baku explained the reason why it did not authorize rally to be held at "Galaba" square mentioned by the opposition due to the November 26 events. The Mayor’s Office warned the organizers of the rally, reminding them that they are responsible for any unrests and illegalities during the action. "Azadliq" bloc member, first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan Sardar Jalalogly told APA that, the leadership of the bloc has discussed the matter and decided to postpone the rally. He explained it by their unwillingness to go to the arena far away from the center and at the same time they do not want the citizens to confront the police.
Jalaloglu said that the bloc will determine a date for the next rally in two days. APA
