Meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents may take place on 10 February 2005, the OSCE Minsk Group Russian co-chairman Yuri Merzlykaov said in a statement during his interview with the ATV channel, Trend reports.
According to him, the co-chairmen define currently the venue for the possible meeting which may take place shortly. Unresolved issues of the last meeting of presidents in Kazan will be discussed at the meeting, Merzlyakov noted. «In case we are able to reach positive results, it will be a big achievement”, he said.
The Russian diplomat said also, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan will be preserved by resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. According to him, the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen on solution the problem are not aimed according to the principle “winner-loser”. «It is premature to speak of any final arrangements, but I can say exactly, that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan will be preserved», Merzlaykov stated.
