“If required, Turkey can send peacekeeping forces to Nagorno Karabakh under the mandate of international peacekeeping troops”.
The statement was given to journalists by ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Turan Morali. The ambassador said that it has not yet been determined under what international organization’s mandate the peacekeeping forces will be sent and this process will take up much time. He also informed about the visit of President Ahmad Nejdat Sezer: “The visit is expected to be paid. This will take place shortly. But I don’t want to announce the concrete date”. The ambassador noted the construction of Turkish part of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline is held up, but the company conducting the construction of the pipeline will not be fined. According to Turan Morali, inauguration of Turkish part of BTC will be held in late March or early in April. /APA/
