"Armenian side leaves for Paris in positive spirit". Press secretary of Armenian Foreign Ministry (FM) Hamlet Gasparyan told.

As APA informs, H.Gasparyan stated that, great measures have been taken in the direction of agreeing on several principal issues and the sides are close to come to an agreement in the framework of the 'Prague process': "However, the positions of the sides don’t coincide and therefore, difficult issues still remain and it makes us carefully approach to the results. But, we hope the Presidents will take one more advanced step in Paris meeting."

According to H.Gasparyan, it is desirable that 2006 be the year of resolution of the conflict: "OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the conflict sides and the international community are making efforts in this direction. The resolution of the conflict will be beneficial for both peoples and for the region, as well. Armenia demonstrates will and desire for the solution of the problem. However, severe statements and demonstration of uncompromising spirit from Azerbaijani side makes us be very careful. Anyway, we look forward to the meeting of the Presidents in Paris."
