Azerbaijan does not intend to establish an embassy in Iraq for the time being.
Diplomatic interests in this country will be promoted by the embassy to be opened in Jordan soon, the Iraqi ambassador to Azerbaijan Arshad Ismayil Omar has told AssA-Irada. According to the diplomat, the delay in the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy was explained by security concerns. "The situation in Iraq is not at all safe," the ambassador said and expressed hope that the embassy would be set up in Baghdad when there is peace in the country. /AzerNEWS/
