Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is due to attend the annual meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan this Friday.
During his stay in Baku, Erdogan is expected to urge Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad to change course on Tehran's nuclear program. Erdogan will tell Ahmedinejad that his government should be more transparent on the issue and meet the needs of the international community. In related news, the nuclear program's chief negotiator Ali Larijani is due to visit Ankara this month. /TurkishPress via Aksam/
