"The Karabakh movement in Armenia will not continue," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on April 16. He commented on Serzh Sargsyan's words that the "Karabakh page" is not closed and should be returned to the political agenda. Any attempts to resume this movement will have devastating consequences for the country, the Armenian Prime Minister said.

This is not the first time the Armenian Prime Minister has spoken about the liquidation of the so-called Karabakh movement. If at first he expressed his thoughts cautiously, now his statement sounded unequivocal. And this cannot but please Armenia's neighbors. We will only be glad if Armenia can really turn over this shameful page of its history forever. Moreover, there is no feeling that Pashinyan is playing to the public in this case. Although he is weak in international affairs, he has eaten a dog in domestic political processes. He knows which "rivers" flow from where and where they flow into, and understands the threat to both Armenia's existence as a state and his own power. And the continuation of claims on the territory of a strong neighbor is a very big threat to the Armenian statehood. True, Nikol Pashinyan did not always think so, but in this case it does not matter.

Arsen Torosyan, a member of the Armenian Parliament, spoke even more specifically. "There is not and cannot be a second state or any state institution associated with it on the territory of Armenia. Any such actions, as well as the persons or structures carrying them out, should be subject to strict legal and political assessment," he said, pointing out that he does not promote hatred against voluntary defectors from Azerbaijan, but only cares about the safety of the state.

A very sober approach. The day before, the separatist-revanchist opposition presented a list of candidates to be held accountable for creating a threat to the Armenian statehood.

According to the omniscient resource Graparak, the remnants of the separatist regime, who are still playing at "parliament" and "government," gathered and accepted... "a constitutional amendment." The fact is that on May 21, the term of Shahramanyan's "presidency" expires, and this farce needs a new "president." The notorious Samvel Babayan is reportedly applying for this illusory post.

The revanchist media is horrified that the separatist had to hold these "meetings" in secret from the government. In other countries, whose authorities have not yet freed themselves from the pressure of the diaspora, "representative offices" of non-existent entities are openly operating, and in Armenia itself, the separatists have to hide in corners. Who would have thought that the day would come when claims to neighboring lands would no longer be a "historical right" of Armenians in Armenia, but would turn into a crime. Today, Pashinyan is reminded of his trips to Khankendi in 2018 and especially in 2019, when he delivered inspiring speeches and "annexed" Karabakh to Armenia. At that time, the new revolutionary prime minister promised to involve the separatists in negotiations on Karabakh. Yes, he promised a lot of things. For example, to make the Armenian army one of the strongest in the world.

After the Second Karabakh War, Nikol Pashinyan sobered up. There were even rumors about the prime minister's intention to completely cover up the structures of the Karabakh separatists in Armenia. This was due to the fact that Samvel Shahramanyan and company, who kept quiet at first, having received support from outside, began to position themselves as a force in the domestic political arena. In addition, the Karabakh Armenians' hopes for easier migration to Europe were dashed. No one wanted to accept them, and the whole mass settled in Armenia. Pashinyan would have been happy if someone had opened their doors to these superfluous mouths, but neither France nor any of the other arsonists wanted to accept the "victims of ethnic cleansing." They needed these "victims" in Armenia, but far from the borders of Azerbaijan they became useless. It has been said for a long time that the building for gatherings will be taken away from the separatists. It remains only to implement. As Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan says, "this building should not serve such purposes."

It is not reported where exactly the separatists gathered for the underground meeting.  The audience was seriously discussing some tours and votes, considering the prospects of Samvel Babayan and the possibility of extending Shahramanyan's "powers." As you can see, the separatists do not hear not only Baku, but also Yerevan, they clearly exist in some kind of parallel universe. This is evidenced by the statement of the structure called the "committee for the Preservation of Artsakh", which was initiated after Pashinyan's words. The "Committee" issued a lengthy statement in which it actually acknowledged that Armenia's history and statehood are based only on claims to foreign territories. And if this is taken away from the Armenians, they will remain without a history at all. In principle, that's the way it is. But it's also for the best, because the Armenian people will have a chance to finally learn the truth about their past. The truth is very uncomfortable, without the heroic and tearful nonsense. But the truth.

It is very good that the Armenian Prime Minister has finally decided to start opening the eyes of his society. It hurts, but through an awareness of the realities, healing may come. Otherwise, discord and conflicts will begin within the Armenian society itself. Because the separatists and revanchists are far from the entire Armenian people.

By the way, the separatists have already filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office against the government, providing facts of "incitement of hatred against the people of Artsakh" by senior officials and structures. That is, the farce continues.
