Elmira Suleymanova, Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, has left for Vienna in order to take part in the meeting of European Ombudsmen in Vienna, the capital of Austria, June 11-13.
Zemfira Maharramli, Ombudsman Apparatus Press Officer, has told APA that Ms. Suleymanova was invited from Europe Region Organization of International Ombudsman Institute to the event held every year. The role that the Ombudsman institutions play and function for the protection of human rights will be on the agenda of the event, together with exchange of practice and views. Moreover, the speech of Thomas Hammerberg, Council of Europe's Human Rights Commissioner, on "Human Rights Implementation in Europe" will be listened too. Elmira Suleymanova will make a report speech on human rights and freedoms defence, the activities of Ombudsman institute in Azerbaijan and accomplishments. Ms. Suleymanova will also meet representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Austria.
