Heads of nine states will gather at the 2nd Summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building in Asia (CICMA) on June 17 in Almaty, an official spokesperson of Kazakhstan MFA Yerzhan Ashikbayev has briefed today in Astana.
Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Thailand and Uzbekistan have confirmed their high-level participation, KazInform reports. For the first time an observer state, Ukraine, will be represented on the high-level, Ashikbayev said. The UN undersecretary and secretary general of the League of Arab States will also attend CICMA Summit. Besides, vice premiers of Israel, Mongolia, Turkey and a special representative of Indian PM are expected to take part in it too. Thus, the Summit ahead will become an international event which will prove Kazakhstan’s high authority once again, Ashikbayev uttered. /www.inform.kz/
