The Duke of York will be visiting Azerbaijan from June 29 to July 3 as the UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.

As APA reports, the visit is on the occasion of the full commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and filling the British Houtorn tanker with the first Azeri crude oil from Ceyhan port.

The Duke of York will visit the tomb of the President Heydar Aliyev and Martyr's Alley, lay a wreath on the monument of British Commonwealth soldiers as well as meet with President Ilham Aliyev, Defense Minister Safar Abiyev and other Ministers. The Duke will also meet with the British business heads, high level authorities of the bp company and visit the Central Azeri platform.

As former officer of the Royal Navy, the Duke of York will get acquainted with the Peacekeeping English Language Project, which is good example of cooperation between the Azerbaijani and British Defense Ministries and together with Safar Abiyev will attend the ceremony of awarding the Azerbaijani officers for their success in the English language exams.

The Duke of York will also participate in official reception on the occasion of the official birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the Hyatt Hotel July 1.
