Head of the AGO Monitoring Group from the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, German Ambassador Roland Wegener's diplomatic mission in Strasbourg has expired.
As APA reports, Mr.Wegener has been appointed German Ambassador to Mexico. German representation remains to be the AGO Group member. Swedish Ambassador Per Sjogren has been appointed head of the group. He was well familiarized with the Group’s work and the region as well. The Group is expected to visit the region in spring next year, and in the summer of 2007, it will draw up a written report in a form of recommendation.
