President Nursultan Nazarbayev, chair of the CIS Board of Heads of State before the CIS informal summit, presented his proposals on improving of the CIS to the heads of states.
As APA reports, Nazarbayev proposes improvement in five fields: immigration policy, transport, education, "today challenges" and humanitarian fields. Kazakh President offered to preserve "common mentality" in these fields, which was improved in the former Soviet period.
Eight CIS heads of states attending the informal summit added their proposals for improvement of the Commonwealth. The list of proposals also includes international policy, which envisages the CIS states taking joint principal position in the international arena. It was also offered the CIS function in the G8 format. The CIS heads of state will consider all these offers during the next summit scheduled for November, this year. The previous CIS informal summit took place in the Russian capital Moscow on 21-22 July, this year.
