Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the delegation led by Mohammad Sherrar, adviser of Kuwait's emir.

As APA reports, Mr. Mammadyarov expressed satisfaction with the speedily developing relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait, highly appreciating the opening of Azerbaijan’s embassy in this state.

Mr.Sherrar expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two states, highly appreciating the mutual relations as well as mutual support in the frames of the international organizations.

He also expressed his wish to expand political, economical and commercial relations between Azerbaijan and Kuwait. The visitor invited Mammadyarov to pay an official visit to Kuwait. Mr.Serrar stressed importance of expanding mutual cooperation in private sector too.

Pointing out common features between the two states, Foreign Minister said Azerbaijan as oil rich country is interested in learning Kuwait's development priorities and its experience in dividing of oil revenues.

The Minister also noted Azerbaijan is chairing the Organization of the Islamic Conference highly appreciating the permanent support of Muslim states for Azerbaijan, their demanding Armenian occupying forces withdrawal from the occupied lands as well as material and moral assistance to Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons.

Sherrar reminded that Kuwait was also subject to occupation once and therefore, it understands Azerbaijan’s condition very well.

The visitor noted the humanitarian aid will further be granted. He also said Kuwait has nominated candidacy to the post of secretary general of the World Health Organization and said there will be expanded aid in the frames of the organization too.
