Emergencies Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov today received the delegation led by Turkish Deputy Prime Minister & State Minister for Sports Mehmet Ali Shahin.
Reminding that he paid his first visit to Turkey following the establishment of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, Minister Heydarov said Azerbaijan is keen to cooperate with Turkey in all spheres and enhance the current relations, APA reports. Reporting about the measures implemented to form the system of the Emergencies Ministry, Mr. Heydarov pointed out importance of benefiting from Turkey’s experience in managing emergency situations. He also said the agreement on cooperation on management of emergency situations, which will be signed between the Azerbaijani and Turkish governments in the frames of the visit, will give a great impetus to deepening of relations. Mr. Shahin talked about the developing relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, "The relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are very valuable. I felt this from the very moments I arrived in Azerbaijan. Gaining its independence fifteen years ago, Azerbaijan is developing very speedily. Turkish government and people are very pleased for that," Turkish Deputy Prime Minister said. Mr.Shahin also spoke about the activity of different Turkish bodies dealing with prevention of emergency situations and removing their damage. The sides also exchanged views on cooperation in the field of emergencies, its prospects and other issues of mutual interest.
